Calories In Salmon

Salmon is one of the healthiest foods you can eat, and has a very high content of the healthy and essential Omega 3 fatty acids. And in its smoked form, is one of the most versatile foods you can use in cooking. You can eat it with Toast, Bagels, Cheese or you could use it as the protein in a Salad or even on its own. Due to the high Omega 3 and low calorie count salmon is recommended for at least two meals every week. Unfortunately, due to the high demand and the somewhat premium nature of the Fish, it can also be very expensive.

One thing however, is that you need to take care in the preparation as while Salmon is very low in calories, anything else you add such as a dressing etc can negate the benefits. Keep it relatively simple and use it in healthy Omelette’s and salads that don’t have any heavy dressing. Keeping it simple is the way to go with Salmon
