Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle Review

Recently i’ve gone through a lot of the fitness ebooks available online and I figured that i should do a review of all of them and share what i have learned (or not learned). The first one, and clearly the most popular one online, is the book Burn the fat Feed the muscle by Tom Venuto. The general reception was that it was one of the best fitness and fat loss books ever written and i had to get my hands on it and give it a read.

I’m not going to get into too much about describing Tom Venuto, he’s a bodybuilder and fitness expert and his pedigree will have no bearing on what i think about the book. The book in itself is 340 pages. But for something so long it actually makes some very compelling reading. The writing is very well done, unlike most of the other fitness books i’ve read, it keeps it interesting and lively. Here is a chapter by chapter breakdown of what he talks about:

Chapter 1: Goal setting: How to set powerful, compelling goals that will propel you forward
and charge you up with unstoppable motivation

Chapter 2: Chapter 2: Why 95% of all conventional diets fail – And the 8 most powerful
strategies to permanently lose fat without diets or deprivation

Chapter 3: Body composition: How to determine your fat to muscle ratio

Chapter 4: Charting your progress: How to use performance feedback to get from where
you are to where you want to be

Chapter 5: Metabolic individuality and your body type: Doing your best with what you’ve
got

Chapter 6: The law of calorie balance and the mathematics of losing body fat

Chapter 7: Secrets of meal frequency & timing: How to turbo charge your metabolism and
turn your body into a fat-burning machine!

Chapter 8: Macronutrient ratios: The optimal combination of protein, carbohydrates and fats
for improving your muscle to fat ratio

Chapter 9: Good fats vs. bad fats: How to speed up fat loss, boost muscle growth, increase
energy and rev up your metabolism by eating the right fats in the right amounts at
the right times

Chapter 10: Protein: The muscle builder and metabolic activator – How much you really need

Chapter 11: Clearing up carbohydrate confusion: Are carbohydrates your friends or foes?

Chapter 12: How to get as lean as a bodybuilder or fitness model using a new twist on the old
low carbohydrate diet

Chapter 13: Why water is essential for fat loss, how much you need, and what else you
should (and shouldn’t) drink

Chapter 14: The BFFM eating plan: How to design your own effective and result producing
meals and menus.

Chapter 15: Supplements: What the supplement companies hope you never find out

Chapter 16: Cardio training secrets for maximum fat loss: Why it’s better to burn the fat than
to starve the fat.

Chapter 17: Weight training for fat loss: Why diet and cardio are not enough

So as you can see, the book provides some great detail. Another thing i liked about the book is that right from the start, he talks about the difference between fat loss and weight loss and why fat loss is better, which is something a lot of people don’t realize.

Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle is not a diet as much as it is an education. You are going to learn to eat the right way for you. Following the information in Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle you will be able to determine the ideal mix of fat, carbs, and protein that’s right for you. You’ll be able to determine your own body type : endomorph, ectomorph, or mesomorph (don’t worry if you don’t know what that means the book will teach you), and whether you’re card tolerant or intolerant.

The most important thing that is emphasized is that dieting isn’t a one size fits all solution to losing fat and that exercise is just as big a part of it as what you eat.

I could flood this review with testimonials about success stories from various random people you have never met, but what is important is that you decide for yourself if this is the right program for you. Burn the fat Feed the muscle teaches you what you need to know about eating right, it gives you a proper diet to follow and some exercise recommendations and the best of all is that it tells you why you’re doing it in language that you and i can both understand.

Is it worth buying? Yes most definitely.

You can head over here and have a look or buy the book.
