36 Tricep Exercises

December 9, 2009

Young Muscular Man Showing His MusclesTricep exercises are probably the most important and some what overlook exercises when it comes to the arms. Triceps account for roughly 60% of the size of your arms and the muscles are in user whenever you extend your arms. So while tricep exercises themselves work out your triceps they are in heavy whenever you do any other workout such as bench pressing or any chest/shoulder workout. Don’t bring the weight to close to the shoulders- once the weight passes the 90 degrees angel approaching the shoulders the force needed to extend the arm again becomes greater and greater and injury is more likely to happen. Just a couple of degrees pass the 90* degrees angle is more than enough. Anyway here are 36 tricep exercises (listed in no particular order) that you can try if you don’t already work them out:

Personally I found the greatest tricep development from tricep pushdowns with a cable and also tricep dips in the high rep range!
