Calories in Wine

January 18, 2009

wineAs part of my series on the calories in alcohol, this time around we are looking at the calories in wine. The table below shows the amount of calories for an average glass (4 fl oz/115ml), with the average glass being five glasses per bottle, though be warned as some restaurants can be generous enough to make it four glasses. As in with any other alcoholic beverage, the total amount of calories is based on the percentage of alcohol and wine contains on average a 15% alcohol percentage. Since there are too many brands to cover, the table below contain some general types and just a few branded wines.
