New Celebrity Workout Series

November 16, 2008

Due to some heavy demand I’ll be doing a series on celebrity workouts over the next few days. Right now I’ll focus on some of the more popular celebrities and then work my way backwards. My first couple of workouts will probably be Daniel Craig, Kim Kardashian and Nicole Sherzinger. From that point I’ll work my way back to the famous fight club Brad Pitt workout etc.

My initial plan was to focus this week on what makes a good breakfast, why we need it and recipes for the different types of breakfast. But i got enough requests to do this so i’ve decided to do both. Should be fun.

Your Resting Heart Rate

November 13, 2008

12314513646nmQ23For those of you who do a lot of exercise, If you don’t do it already, you should constantly monitor your heart rate. Your resting heart rate is the amount of times your heart beats per minute. I have been measuring my heart rate for about a month now and since I have been working out more, my resting heart rate has gone from 73bpm to 67bpm. My target is to hit 60bpm in the next two months. The resting heart rate is used as an indicator of your level of fitness and compared against the table below you can know for your age group what level of fitness you have. [click to continue…]

A healthy Breakfast is by far the most important meal in the day and usually because of the rush of waking up (nobody likes to wake up early) and go to school, college or work, it’s usually ignored. Most people will have a bowl of cereal and juice or coffee and start the day. That really is not the way to do it. I’ve collected some healthy breakfast recipes from around the net and from some nutrition plans that workouts provide. If you are going to put some effort into a meal, breakfast should the most important one. [click to continue…]

How to Lose Facial Fat

November 12, 2008

short-chin-hair4Most of us want to lose either belly fat or just want lose fat overall, but i have got a lot of requests recently with people wanting how to lose fat in the face. This post will deal with what the realities are and i will even give you a few tips on what you can do.

I want to state from the beginning that spot reduction of fat (which is to lose fat in a specific area) through exercise or dieting or any means, is not possible. If we could target specific areas, fat loss would not be such a problem. Targeting thighs, a spare tire, flabby arms, or in this case a somewhat chubby face is not something we can do, so lets focus on what we can do.

Don’t be discouraged, the situations isn’t hopeless. How can we lose fat in the face? Here are some tips and tricks: [click to continue…]

I am a big fan of the P90X workout program and actually started doing the workout about 3 weeks ago. For those who don’t know the program it is an intense 6 day a week workout that lasts ninety days and has everything from weights for the major muscle groups to yoga and even a martial art like kenpo. One of the reasons that i like the workouts so much is that it embodies a level of intensity that forces you to step up and push yourself like never before. P90X was created by Tony Horton and these are his 11 laws of fitness. I read this list on Facebook and i had to share: [click to continue…]
