The 3 Day Diet – Lose 9 Pounds in 3 Days

Chances are that you’ve heard of the famous 3 day diet that helps you lose 9 pounds in 3 days. When i heard of it the first thing i thought was that this 3 day diet was a fad diet and would never work. Since i am all about experimentation i thought i would give it a try. I followed the guidelines exactly for three days and believe it or not i lost around 11 pounds in the 3 days. I got sick of eating tuna but on the other hand the results were exactly what the diet said it was. Now the problem is that for all the things that have been said about it, there is not a single bit of evidence of why it works. Here’s the breakdown of what you need to do:

Instructions:

Drink 4 glasses of water or diet soda per day.

You can add herbs, salt, pepper, lemon, vinegar, Worcestershire, soy sauce, mustard & ketchup to your foods.

DAY 1

BREAKFAST
Black Coffee or Tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal
1/2 Grapefruit or Juice
1 Toast with 1 Tbsp. Peanut Butter

LUNCH
1/2 Cup of Tuna
1 Toast
Black Coffee or Tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal

DINNER
3 Oz. any lean meat or chicken
1 cup green beans
1 cup carrots
1 apple
1 cup regular vanilla ice cream

DAY 2

BREAKFAST
black coffee or tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal
1 Egg
1/2 Banana
1 Toast

LUNCH
1 cup cottage cheese or tuna
8 regular saltine crackers

DINNER
2 beef franks
1 cup broccoli or cabbage
1/2 cup carrots
1/2 banana
1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

DAY 3

BREAKFAST
black coffee or tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal
5 regular saltine crackers
1 oz. cheddar cheese
1 apple

LUNCH
1 boiled egg
1 toast
black coffee or tea w/1-2 packets of Sweet & Low or Equal

DINNER
1 cup tuna
1 cup carrots
1 cup cauliflower
1 cup melon
1/2 cup regular vanilla ice cream

The ┬áreality is that the 9 pounds you are supposed to lose with this 3 day diet is probably not fat but just water and muscle. This isn’t a good thing if you are looking for something long term. On the second run of the diet i lost 7 pounds which means that its not something you can do over and over again and get the same results. My advice to you? I do not recommend doing this diet but if you really want to then do it only if you are not interested in maintaining muscle mass but are looking for a quick loss of weight to look better or fit into clothes that you cant for an event that is coming up.

    You can sub. cottage cheese for the tuna. Just make sure you eat the proper portion (1 cup tuna = 1 cup cottage cheese). Good luck : )

    This does work!! My sister in law lost 30 pounds (doing it for months, 3 days a week and 4 days off), so far im on the second day and already lost about 6 pounds
